Cycleway map guide
The Norfolk Coast Cycleway follows Sustrans National Cycle Network (NCN) route 1 (Hull to Harwich) from Kings Lynn to Wighton where at Copy’s Green regional route 30 commences. Regional route 30 follows quieter roads through to Cromer, then passes through the Quiet Lanes network before finally following the coast down into Great Yarmouth. The Norfolk Coast Cycleway is signed with regular route markers.
A map guide (pictured left) featuring the route with pubs, cafes, shops and other useful information – and a set of explorer routes is available (RRP £2.50) from many tourist information centres, campsites, cycle hirers and other businesses.
Check our website norfolkcoastaonb.org/cycling for information on how to obtain the guide.
Now you can cycle the entire Peddars Way
Cyclists are in for a treat thanks to an upgrade of the Peddars Way. The route, which follows a Roman road built along the line of an even older path, starts in the Brecks, a unique area of forest, heath and low river valleys and runs north from Knettishall Heath in Suffolk, for 46 miles through changing countryside to the north Norfolk coast to meet the Norfolk Coast Path at Holme-next-the-Sea, near Hunstanton.
The Norfolk Trails team have installed brand new Peddars Way signage featuring the National Trail Acorn with a pink bicycle wheel waymarker disc (pictured below), as well as new sections of trail for cyclists so that you can now cycle the entire route. A brand new Peddars Way cycle guide has been created and launched to mirror the new signage and is available to download from the National Trail website.
New circular walks off the Peddars Way, such as the Pingo Trail and West Harling Trail have been installed to create further access into this special area of countryside.
